What to do if the network camera cannot be enumerated?
Questions
After about 40 seconds of powering on the camera, enumerate the available cameras by running the executable file ListDevices.exe
, which is compiled from the Percipio SDK sample program, using Windows PowerShell. But the camera cannot be found in the enumerated list of cameras.
Causes and solutions
The possible causes and corresponding solutions are as follows:
Camera initialization exception
The camera can only be enumerated after initialization is completed. The normal initialization process for a regular network camera: There are three common LED lights on the network camera, namely Power, Ethernet, and Act lights. The entire process from power-on to initialization completion takes about 40 seconds. After initialization is completed, the Power light will flash at a frequency of 1HZ, the Ethernet light will remain on (indicating that the camera is connected to a gigabit network), and the Act light will flash when there is data transmission.
If an initialization exception occurs, please do the following:
Power off and reboot the camera.
If initialization is still abnormal, please check the hardware:
If the host computer, host computer network interface, or network cable is abnormal, please replace the corresponding hardware.
If the camera is malfunctioning, please contact Percipio customer support.
