Function Description

This step can convert 2D images into 3D point clouds.

Use Cases

Convert 2D images into 3D point clouds for subsequent use as templates.

Inputs

  • Template Mask Image: 2D image used to generate the template.

Outputs

  • Point Cloud Model: Generated 3D point cloud template.

Parameters

Model Cloud Settings

  • Edge Template: When checked, an edge template will be generated based on the input 2D image; when not checked, a surface template will be generated. Please select the type of template to generate (edge template/surface template) according to the subsequent template matching type (edge matching/surface matching).

  • Scale: Scale coefficient for 2D image pixels. For example: scale value 0.001 means 1 pixel equals 1mm.

Template Image Settings

  • Horizontally Flip Template Image: When checked, the 2D image will be horizontally flipped before generating the template point cloud.
